Oh My, Omar Open to Mexico

OMAR

Omar Gonzalez says he's open to suiting up for El Tri. This makes me sad. Not because he'd go the other way (he has dual citizenship) but because Klinsmann's hesitancy to call up the big man is what's driven him to contemplate such madness.

Or maybe it's not madness, just gamesmanship. It's kind of like how sometimes the one you want doesn't feel you until you show interest in whoever it is they can't stand. So yeah, all is fair in love and international soccer.

I figure if he's not called into Camp Cupcake, that might be the final straw for Gonzalez.

Oh that reminds me, SF are you coming out to LA for the MLS Cup final?

I'm a Galaxy fan and the thought of him playing for Mexico makes me sad, but seriously we have nothing to worry about. He has a right to be upset (and so does George John), especially since Ream and Orozco are getting call ups, but Mexico has no interest in him.

well I think that the decision does not lie in Clisman but in him only, if he wants to play for Mexico, it would be what he wants, no one would force him to choose
