NSR: Gallows

You may be shocked to know this but I have a soft spot for Gallows. Don't know why but maybe because their brand of Brit-punk is artsy/glossy enough to let my 30-something Dad-ass pretend that I can still appreciate hardcore even though I couldn't make it through a Rorschach or Heroin or ____ album right now for all the gear in the Red Bull Arena gift shop. But aging-issues and psychoanalysis aside, this song just makes me want to skate again.

Nice Rorschach reference there. And I'm with you on the Gallows and mildly shocked as well. By now I should know better than to be suprised though...

You only think it's nice because you are as old and crusty as I am.

Nice! I feel the same way. Gallows are one of the few hardcore bands I've bothered to keep up on. Frank Carter's vocals are just enough 'Johnny Rotten' to appeal to me. Absolutely vile, in the best way possible. I thought 'Grey Britain', especially, was great.

Speaking of Rorschach, I got a compliment on my old Deadguy t-shirt the other day. It made my day.
