As a Chivas USA fan, this really doesn't bother me that much, as they both played for the Gals before there was a Chivas USA.( I think, right?) Vanney (and to a lesser extent Fraser) bounced around the league quite a bit. It's not like the Goats went out and got Cobi Jones (which even at that, if he was a great coach I wouldn't mind much as Cobi is all class despite being Galaxy through and through.)
Ehhh.... it happened on Metro too... Bruce, Harkse, Goose, Williams...
It doesnt bother me at all. Does it bother you? It sure bothered a lot of gal fans. Does it bother the closet galaxy fans?

Well I'm not a big fan of football but I've heard that Galaxy had a great performance at the Concachampions.
