Exactly Who is Chris Wondolowski Really?

Just what do we know about this Chris Wondolowski other than he is a dreamkiller for all who dare try to defend against him this year? Did he really go to a school called Chico State? And in what country is the state of Chico located? Is he a socialist "muslin"? Which side is he picking in this whole Steven Tyler v. Kid Rock beef? And how did he get so cotdamn lethal this year? Julie Foudy (yes, Julie Foudy) tries to find out the answers to some of these on a couch set in a goalmouth for the good of the New Soccer Nation.

i kno ur joking, but chico is a city. All california state schools are informally identified by the city they're in. So chico state, san diego state, san jose state...etc.

I was joking but I did not know that was the thing there, with the cities. Thanks for the tip.

@Anon, there's only one that isn't and it's the one that's better than the rest. Cal Poly!

Chico is a fun place though. Everyone is real friendly.

Chico State is probably the best party school you havent heard of. Renown in Cali for a terrific mix of hot co-eds and various drinking games.

@Anon, yeah technically there's two. But there's only one real Cal Poly

The California three tier public university/college system:

The top tier is the University of California member schools (Berkeley, LA, Irvine, Merced, etc.). Note that Berkeley is the original; they call themselves just plain old California.

The regional "* state" system: Chico State, San Jose State, Fresno State, etc. The two polytechnic schools to get lumped in there.

The community colleges.
