Pour a Little Out for MLS on ESPN.com

I may be wrong about this (I'm often wrong about many things according to some of the comments) but it really kind of looks like ESPN has just given up on really covering MLS online. Check out the MLS page on Soccernet: all the marquee programming on the left hasn't been updated in since before the World Cup. Sad shit y'all. I'm not one to quote post-"Joints & Jams" Black Eyed Peas but seriously, where is the love?

So, MLS to FSC exclusively? That seems like a definitive step down, which is too bad.

The US Soccer tab also takes you to a page dominated by euro headlines. I've stopped checking it now.

Bullshit, ESPN.

Yep Designated Players + Big Soccer + Small time blogs = Any hope of soccer coverage. This is especially true if you throw out ESPNs coverage of the premier league

Yup. It was a "go to" for a while. Has been off my favorites since right before the World Cup. ESPN Deportes does kick ass though!

Yup. It used to be a half-decent site for MLS and USMNT coverage. Now it looks like you can stick a fork in it. Back to FSC, SBI, BigSoccer, and blogs.

Pretty sure espn abandoned the mls page, not sure why they still have it live. everything now is being covered on the us soccer page (though, yeah too many euro headlines on there).
if you haven't been to cnnsi.com/soccer, there is some good mls stuff there. a lot of old espn guys work there now.
which is also a reason for espn's abandonment of its mls site, too many departures.

What happened to ESPN's web based weekly MLS highlights show with Hopkins? I really enjoyed that and was hoping if it stayed around long enough, they'd build that segment into Sportscenter. IIRC, the last episode I saw was the first week of this season.
