The Day the Blog Stood Still

Today is superwhacktastic. Nothing in the news worth writing about and I can't find a single clip on the various tube's that make me do a Shep Messing-esque "Wow." So the floor is yours. Any suggestions of topics worth touching because I've got nothin'.

Does Sean Johnson possess what it will take to move past El Guazno and be #2 (or maybe #1) in 2014? Disuss

I think so, SJ is a freakin beast in goal. But I havent seen Guzan play that much in competition so who knows?

I like this. The thing with Guzan is he has the skills but isn't getting the games. If he doesn't get out from under Freidel next season I think he really risks opening the door for someone else to really compete with him for the U.S. #2 spot, whether it be Johsnon or someone else.

yeah, man. Thats what Im feeling is really hurting Guzan, and I'm from his hometown so I'm rooting for him. But i'm not going to say he is a definite #2. And who knows what Timmy decides between now and then. Fire game last night had Bradley on there, Im guessing maybe to scout SJ, and they asked him about SJ and Bob said something like, he's developing nicely, learning a lot and we are going to keep an eye one him. Got me thinking

The #McBrideFacts thread on twitter late last night was great, info: http://worldsoccerreader.com/2010/09/the-best-mcbridefacts-from-twitter-so-far/

@Anon, those we're pretty good. I liked the one about McBride kissing Baby Donovan, as well as the Victoria Beckham one, and everyone involving Rafa Marquez or Oswaldo Sanchez.
