If We Could Take a Break From Coulibaly-Bashing for a Moment...

...I'd like to acknowledge Lando's world-class, all-balls banger. This is a thing of beauty that we haven't seen enough of but we'll hopefully get a few more glimpses at against Algeria. This is what happens when the Angry Baby wakes up; the question is "how do we keep him from going to sleep again like he did in the first 45 minutes of today's game?"

I will never call him Landycakes again. Dude grew a pair on the world stage today. That was ruthless. Vicious. Cold-blooded. And EXACTLY what the US needed.

Simple. Play him on the right instead of the left. Dempsey has thrived on the left for Fulham. Donovan tore shit up on the right for Everton. Why does Bradley keep trying to switch them?

That said, the goal was a fantastic moment of violence and beauty. I fucking loved it!

Dude, Donovan was up for this game from minute one. The team was disorganized in the first half, but Donovan pushing Torres telling him to sharpen up made his passion clear.

I love this goal, he looks up, sees no one, and is like "fck it, I'll finish this myself." Badass.

donovan could have taken that keeper's head off. i would have loved for the slovenes to have to pick up two round objects from the net.

Few of us don't notice how much of a genious he is. He knew exactly where the ball was going to land after the pass, regardless whether the defense was going at it. I don't know. This game is beautiful.

The pass was flawless too.

Totally badass goal. My other favorite moment was the Clint Dempsey brainbuster. What a figher he is, literally.
