This Just In: Ireland v. France & a Potential International Incident

IrelandVSFrance

There's some really incredible stuff coming out of the Ireland-France World Cup 2010 Playoff game slated for Saturday. I've no idea if this is a hoax or not --and there is a fat-Ronaldo sized chance that it is-- but either way it's comedy gold. Read on about what could be the origin of the Gaelic-Gallic soccer war at Irish Soccer Insider.

Also, I don't think that a French official would sign a letter "Yours Faithfully"....

"Rue des Blaguer" means, somewhat ungrammatically, "Joker Street."

Haha good joke. Unlucky result for Ireland that, but I reckon they can come back in France. But for anybody who put a bet on the game, you might find this article an interesting read: http://bit.ly/259yOs

It's from the Right2Bet campaign website and it goes into detail about how much money you could have lost from your winnings because of where you happen to be based in the EU. Pretty topical at the moment for the Irish and the French given Paddy Power's recent foray into the French gambling market, I reckon. There's also a petition on the Right2Bet site to get fairer rules across the EU, which will get presented to the EU Commission once it reaches 1million: I'd encourage you to sign it if you think you've been burnt by these unfair rules.

Keep it unreal
