Video: Press Pass on The State of MLS

Hey y'all. I took a few days off for an impromptu family road trip sans MacBook but I'm back home and back online just in time for tonight's All-Star game. Did you miss me? Did I miss anything of note? I noticed that the Press Pass posse took it upon themselves to have round table on the state of MLS. I like the idea but it's a topic that deserves more than 3mins 58secs and maybe a guest or two to round it out.

amen to the world football challenge comment, me and my buddy were at the game in Baltimore and we were getting yelled at to sit down during the game, when I'm home from school, I am at every single DC United home game, and I was being criticized by fans who go to maybe one or two soccer games a year, if those fans supported the MLS like they did these exhibition matches, the MLS would be overtly successful and a top flight league

I dont think the leprechaun is right, in thinking that World Football Challenge fans are "educated sophisticated" fans. The sophisticated fans are the season ticket holders.

Jimmy, sounds like a USA game haha...but yea I disagree with some of their comments...Tommy said MLS needs a Tab Ramos or Claudio Reyna "to come through MLS." I think he means a big national team star that was born and raised and continues to play in MLS...sound like anyone playing at the HDC?

Also people talking about the getting World Football Challenge crowds going consistently to MLS games...it will never happen! At least not in 50 years. A big reason these people go is because it is a "once in a lifetime chance" or so they think. Let's say Chelsea made LA its home for the WFC. If they played Barcelona one weekend and then AC Milan 2 weekends later I bet a bunch of fans would not return for the second game...these people go because its a chance to do something cool for one night. Not because they want to go out and support their team every week.
