Sorry, but that's about the only similarity. Both young talented athletes - but like you said, Lebron actually plays - and makes a difference on his team... hell, the whole league!
"Jozy hopes to be the Lebron James of American soccer" might fit better....

I dunno bout similarities, Altidore certainly has a size and speed uncommon for the sport, kind of like lebron. Lebron is clearly one of the best, Jozy might yet be; either way they both are very entertaining to watch.
