I typically am not in the business for apologizing for being me. But just this once, and only once, will I apologize for my accent. I know that I can get to twangin' but damn, this lady's voice is the most annoying thing to come out of the South since Jim Crow. You can literally see misery wash over The Don's face. If this is what I sound like to your non-country ears I am truly sorry.

ughh... she does have a horrible cackle, but at least one can mostly understand what she's saying. i could only make it abuot 45 seconds past the cheap shot by the back seat anchorman.
That male anchor was MLD. Major League Douchebag.
damn she sounds like a yokel. MLD needs its own website, add glen beck to it
Portland Bailouts? Ajax? He calls himself a Blackburn fan!?!?!? And what was that, the LA "Herbalife's" or whatever he said? WTF! Poor Don is busy being a serious business man, doing an "interview" and this douche just wants to take cheap shots and pretend he knows what he's talking about. Blackburn Rovers!? Seriously!? Poser. And only non-soccer fans care about David Beckham.
Ugh, although I wanted to hear Garber's comments, I couldn't get past one minute of the Fox News, well, everything! Fucking terrible. No wonder Garber has a sour look the whole interview.
MLD - hilarious!
ya that guy's an idiot. totally shock-jock style - interrupting, going for cheap shots, totally biased, and worst of all, irrelevant - media is crap these days. mainstream media, that is.
i was impressed by the commish on this clip.
I thought it was a decent enough interview, considering the audience (i.e., business news junkies). The "dig" was just humor, as the guy seems to be aware that he doesn't know enough about MLS. Poser or not, he wants to project that he's a soccer follower.
Ms twangy? How about Nancy Grace. Ack!
Nah, her voice isn't so bad.
Speaking as someone who left the Carolinas for Michigan awhile back (OK, the ONLY person to have done that in the 21st century), I'll take a warm Southern accent over the sharp, nasal voices I have to hear now every day.
Funniest part is, they think they don't have accents. Eee-ayk-cents, I mean.
This is a sharp, well-produced bit of mass media, well-done by all three. It's not intended for soccer blog readers (you're already here), it's intended to interest the general public and there should be more of this out there, with anchors from all parts of the country. It's not easy to work Nascar, Beckham, and MLS into a quick sound bite, these people are pros.
Please increas the salary cap Don.
It was a good positive puff piece. It showcased the league in a positive light as something that is growing and is a viable business. It wasn't intended for sports fans, but for business news junkies. Don Garber did a great job with the interview.
The second anchor was ok. I'll take his jokes and light soccer talk over a Jim Rome type media personality any day.
