i go back to my comment about most music posts being sketchy at best on here. egad.
Everybody's got their something.
the Cure comparison strikes me as odd. It's hard to describe any Jersey band with a punk background without mentioning Lifetime though. Still, it's nice to see TGA doing so well and growing out of their early stuff, which was mainly Hot Water Music worship.
For some reason I have the desire to have a kid before 21 and go to the University of Pheonix.
it's about time...this was my favorite album of last year. Matt, the hwm reference is hilarious...chuck did some backup vocals on some of the tracks.
THANK YOU TOR.An entirely deserving (and local) band getting some praise on here. Can't wait to see these boys on May 9 at The Pony.
^^^I'll miss you by a day; I think I'm going to see them on the 8th at the Pony.
best comparison i've heard is springsteen with the replacements
The Springsteen influence is obvious, but not one note of that album reminds me of The Cure. One of my favorite albums of 2008, and definitely my favorite by an American band.
no one even mentions the face to face influence?
