Video: How Is This Major League Again?

Ruthlessly perky Columbus morning television anchors + Pepe LePeux hamming it up while masquerading as the Crew mascot = the shame of the New Soccer Nation.

"with 2 crew players on the team for the US, we have a REASON to root for them!"

as if theyre not part of us or something. ridiculous.

however, props to the coverage of soccer. we take what we can get, right?

Nice use of "Vindaloo" by Fat Les. Never thought I would see that on a news show, much less one from Ohio.

I realy do hate local news from anywhere besides SF, LA, or NYC.

Get over yourself man. This kind of stuff happens all the time in local stations.

Hell, I've seen hilarious stuff from Goonersaurus on local london channels for Arsenal.

This wasn't national or anything, just local Columbus news and the Crew Mascot hyping up the game. If you can't see the humor in that then piss off and get a life. It's all in good fun.

Yeah, it happens a lot but that doesn't make it any more appealing. Even if Arsenal does it. You see the same thing here in NY with Mr. Met. I just don't get it. It seems so Chuck E. Cheese to me.

It's not a big deal by any means, I just think it runs contradictory to MLS's aspirations of not looking minor league. I think having a Crew player on air for a few minutes would be a better alternative.
