Photo of the Day: Philly's Fun-Sized Stadium Model

Chester

I like it. It's like the HDC without the hill, upper deck and sunshine.

looks like you'll get a good view from the highway!

they couldn't move it a quarter mile down the river?

I don't understand why even the new stadium designs insist on looking like all of the old ones. If RBNY were still the Metrostars, we would have one of these . . if construction had ever commenced, that is.

RBA is going to be the most unique soccer venue in the country, and I can't wait.

The way they downsized the original wrap-around roof is just a crime.

How do they expect to teach children how to read, if they can't even fit inside the building! This needs to be at least...3 times bigger.

@Ultras

A stadium for ANTS?!?!?!?!

RBA is just going to be a copy of salzburgs stadium so its really not that unique

Looks like Dick's Sporting Goods Park to me, well on the river instead of in the middle of no where outside of Denver.

RBA will without a doubt be an awesome place but I have big hopes for the plans of Hillcrest Road to be released soon as the Front Office of the KCW seem to think they are out building that New Jersey site.

It should also be mentioned that KCW have begun tearing down the mall on their site.

That's gonna be a cool venue, I like that there is no Upper deck to hide spectators. Do they still have the "specially designed section" for the SoB's?

Without sunshine? It's always sunny in...Chester?

What's with all these gay Wizards fans? Seriously, you support a team named the "Wizards". I rest my case. You can go bother your moms now about the meatloaf not being ready and storm back down into your basements.

The riverside stand will be the SOB section. I believe they are leaving roofs off the ends because that is where expansion of seating will take place down the road.

who the hell cares what the teams called? if you are a hardcore fan of a team just because you like the name, you are NOT a real fan

ALL IM TRYING TO SAY, IS MLS OWNERS CAN DO BETTER RESEARCH AND FIND SOMEONE WHO CAN REALLY BUILD A SOCCER SPECIFIC STADIUM. ALL THE NEW MLS STADIUMS LOOK ALIKE, MAYBE BECAUSE OF ROSETTI ARCHITECTS SUCK. HE BUILDS NICE STADIUMS FOR THE NFL, BUT NOT FOR THE MLS. LETS ASK THE MLS GOD OF STADIUMS TO NOT INCLUDE A STAGE IN THE STADIUM, AND MAKE THE STADIUM WITH SMARTNESS BECAUSE MLS SOCCER TEAMS WILL PLAY IN THE WINTER SOONER OR LATER IN NATIONAL TOURNAMENTS OR MLS LEAGUE GAMES. ADD MORE ROOF COVER, WHATS SO HARD ABOUT BUILDING SOMETHING NICE AT FIRST, THAN WAITING FOR THE FANS TO SHOW UP. WE WANT THE BEST SOCCER IN THE U.S.A. THEN WE MUST WORK HARD FOR THE BEST, PLUS EVEN COLLEGES WILL USE MLS SOCCER STADIUMS FOR SOCCER GAMES, NOT AMERICAN FOOTBALL.

You can add fans to the list of things it doesn't have.

The model has none. I'm sure after the first year, the venue will accurately reflect what is presented in the picture you have provided.
