Video: Vancouver Woke up Today To a Hot Cup of MLS Talk

Not to be left standing with their d*ck in their hands, Vancouver Whitecaps have made the next move in the Pacific Northwest MLS Expansion Death Race 3000™. One day after Portland fired it's shot across the bow, they launched a two-pronged attack today on both the world-wide web and, as seen above, British Columbian morning television.

It's always nice to see a club put the supporters get put out front as they are in the opening segment above. You can see the other two segments --featuring Whitecaps owner Bob Lenarduzzi-- here and here. How great is it that the Timbers & the 'Caps are rivals even when the stakes are off the field? Perhaps it's because the team that doesn't join Seattle in the big leagues has a good chance of ceasing to exist? Just sayin'.

Did you know that during the Timbers @ Whitecaps game a couple weeks ago, lenarduzzi send the Swangard Stadium security to force us (Timbers Army) to remove a banner that said, "Portland 2011"? That's the entire text of what it said. The security guard said, "This comes from the top," and when asked why, said, "It's too political."

Think about it. Too political. They didn't touch the banner we had next to it (http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3260/2787895445_42d290be30.jpg), which was about Timbers Army/Section 8 solidarity (re: Blanco the cunt), said something like "Standing Up Strong Solidarity, TA/S8" (which to me sounds more uniony political, but maybe they do things diffrn't in British Columbia).

That video made me want to poke my eyes out. Nice to get the supporters involved and all, but maybe they should have selected someone who doesn't routinely carry a doll. Just sayin'

So um, I want soiolized healthcare in this country bad. Until I see these three.

Not only are they walking the streets, they're on morning television and it's not about a healthscare.

That makes me more afraid then when SARS hit North America

Yeah, I have to say... Are these guys merely Canadian, or is their vibe indeed kind of gay, in the "by 'gay' I don't mean actually homosexual, I just mean, you know, 'that's gay'" way?

Either way, I'm glad this wasn't on a U.S. station. We're trying to get past the whole soccer-is-soft-and-corny stigma, thanks very much...

Seriously, 20 or 30 guys?

If they get in ahead of Portland's thousands it'll be a travesty of justice.

Montreal and Portland are by far the most sensible choices, and the most likely to be smashing successes.

Good lord that guy should not be anywhere near the public airwaves.
