Anelka: "If I had to leave London, I'd go to the States or the Gulf"

Anelka

Ok. Bring it. I think you'd make a bang up replacement for Donovan in LA if there is anything to all the Landycakes-to-Europe talk. Or you can come to New York and be French with Youri Djorkaeff on your days off. Or perhaps you are feeling adventurous...I bet Seattle could use someone like you.

Ugh... keep him away from my team... he only plays when he wants to and always with a me first attitude... seems he always makes team chemistry worse and i cant imagine hes a good presence in the locker room

They said some of the same things about Blanco but we've seen the opposite in Chicago.

I think its a good sign that players from around the world want to come to the MLS. I think if Seattle can pull it off they'd be stacked their first season. If not seattle though I'm not really sure which team would take him, maybe TFC?

i like your opinions on alot of stuff, SF, but Anelka?

This guy is not a footballer, he's an athletic employee. All he's in it for is the paycheck. The guy could care less if he blows the CL final or if he doesn't get onto the French WC roster.

Not the type of player I'd want on the Revs, RB can have him though.

He had a couple of glorious opportunities handed to him this weekend, but he couldn't finish.

Let's agree to disagree. He's on the right side of 30 (for now) and when he wants too can really light it up. I'd rather see him get signed than another Claudio Lopez type.

I'm probably one of the very few who will agree with you about Anelka. He really is not as he's been portrayed in the media, and he has the potential to be a huge signing for MLS.

Only thing is, he needs a good coach to bring out his best -- somebody who could work with him like Arsene did when he was younger, or Sam Allardyce when he was rehabilitating his career in the EPL. Avram Grant was horrible in this respect. Scolari is much better.

I still haven't written him off at Chelsea, but if he leaves, I'd love to see him come here.

I know nothing about this dude, but DC United will likely be looking for a new DP. Gallardo has brought nothing. Bring back Gomez!!

He's only in it for the payday. I'd definitely welcome him to the league, but he will never come once he finds out he's only going to make $2 mil a year tops and that $250M Beckham number was from sponsorships and selling jerseys. And the kids ain't exactly lining up to buy Anelka jerseys.

He'll probably end up in Uzbekistan.

He could be all French with Seatle's Le Toux.
