Don't let the picture (from the US YNT blog) fool you...Kljestan hasn't gone Blanco on us. He's still the new All-American boy of US Soccer. With it being Olympics time and everyone getting all nationalistic and whatnot, our Sacha is quickly becoming the poster child for the American Dream. And why not, his story is a good one about some of the finer points of American life including the importance of family particularly the positive impact that having real a father can make on a young man.
You might have read this one a few weeks ago in The OC Register and this one came out today in the LA Times. I LOVE reading stuff like this, especially on a day like today when Toby Keith is going out of his way to act like an American idiot. It's nice to have the negativity balanced out y'know?

Nothing like some pre-olympics warm fuzzies. But seriously, I hope Sacha does well at the olympics. He's been having a great season at Chivas, it would be fun to see him move to Europe.

kljestan was freaking terrible in the two tuneup game. actually, hes pretty terrible everytime hes put on a US jersey going back to peru three years ago.
