Video: Darren Huckerby Subject to Worst Interview of the Day
1. It's Norwich, not Norfolk
2. That's a video of a goal vs. Birmingham City, not Manchester United
3. Not everyone who knows what a cross is shares a bed with a pop singer.
4. Freddy Adu? Really? You still think he is a world soccer talking point?
5. Unprofessional Foul expresses the wackness of this interview much better than I can.

wow...
Jeebus, that's bad.
You know what though, at least the dude isn't hostile towards the game. He may be an unprepared and aloof interviewer on this one, but he is no Frank Deford (or any other old timer sports broadcaster that truly dislikes the game). I'll give him some props for actually giving the time of day to Huckerby and Yallop.

True. I like your positivity and award you 3 points for it.
Good point made by Anonymous #3, but I really hope that interview never finds its way across the pond. It's hard enough for American soccer to get taken seriously as is.
"whoever put norfolk there, start packing your bags..." LOL
this guys just trying to ham it up, obviously knows nothing about the sport, but like the other poster said props for at least promoting the local team
Maybe he'll actually go to a couple of SJ matches and learn something about the game. Baby steps for American sports media.
at :58 - the crawl says
"Antioch: man bites off anothers eyebrow"
lol
Did he say "Rolandhino" "Helping the Earthquake" Good Lord. Poor Huckerby.
that was AGONIZING how embarassing. srsly. get a clue. PLZ get someone who knows what they're talking about. aye yi yi painful. embarassment transfer
during that interview darren huckerby must have been thinking, "good lord what have i gotten myself into?"
I kept waiting for the guy to pull out the scotch from under the desk and then say, "Ah my scotch, scotchy scotch scotch!" HAHAHAHAAAAAAA!
Dude, that guys the king of Bay Area sports news. Seriously. He's the channel 4 news anchor and a big shot of KNBR (bay area sports radio). He doesn't know jack squat about soccer, but at least he shows respect for the game.
Gary is the man here. Obviously not too footy literate, but he is one of few from the big networks who covers the Quakes on a regular basis here in the bay. I don't see anyone else showing Quakes highlights/interviews, so I'll say thanks Gary, your part of the change, regardless of who wants to point fingers and laugh 'cause your not cool enough. What, is this highschool all over again?
Norwich is in the county of Norfolk, he wasnt wrong.
