Former Dynamo Going Deutsch?

JarJar

If would have told you one year ago that a member of the Houston Dynamo would be on trial with German juggernauts Bayern Munich you would have told me I was high, high, high. And even if you thought I wasn't under the influence you would have thought it was DeRo or Chingy that was getting the eye from abroad.

But it was Ngwenya that left for Austria and is now on the verge of truly joining the ranks of the European big-time. The star of Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace is on a 3-week trial in Munich were he will train with a strike force that includes a bunch of guys you may have heard of: Miroslav Klose, Lukas Podolski and Luca Toni.

Not bad for a guy from Plumtree, Zimbabwe who played college ball at tiny Coastal carolina University.

Klinsmann (who now coaches FC Hollywood) has always rated Ngwenya. When Ngwenya went on trail to Getafe of La Liga a couple of years ago it was because of a recommendation from Klinsmann. If it was any other club I would be surprised, but these two have history so it was only natural this would happen.

Awesome. Also, his wikipedia page says he scored 17 goals in 5 games for the Cape Cod Crusaders of the USL-PDL in 2003. That can't be right.
