Video: It's Not Easy Being Claudio in Toronto
Y'all know I love The Club Formerly Known as Metro. It is where my sporting heart truly lies. And you know from past endeavors that I love me some Claudio Reyna, flawed as he may be. We all know he has some issues, the man does possess some wonderful skill that has rarely been seen in the American player.
Buuuuuutttt OMFG that sign in Toronto last night was some of the coldest sh*t ever. I'm all for getting under the skin of the opposition as long as we leave his race, religion, sexual orientation and his wife & children out of it (mothers are fair game though), but damn that was just astoundingly egregious. I don't know whether I should give them the slow clap or hope they get the clap.
Thank God though that Claudio has played in big leagues before and has experienced both the good and the bad of what it's like to be treated like a professional. Can you imagine if they did something like that to Zach Thornton? Mr. Green Mile might have gone crazygonuts and tried eat the guy or something.

That is a funny sign... I still don't get why everyone gets such a hard on for the streamer assault.

I had no problems with that sign what so ever. Dude needs to be consistantly reminded that he's not getting it done and he's quite literally stealing money and a spot from a club that could definitely fill a DP slot on someone better.
As far as the streamers go, I thought it was hysterical the first time I saw them do it to the "hunchback of Bridgeview" but now it's just old and tired and a bit to Argentinian for my blood.
Let him throw the fucking ball and show that kind of support for your dick(io)'s goals.

Not because I disagree with streamer assault but because when ever we do this at dynamo games the ref allows the player to clean it all up and wast time.
Do the refs not allow the players to clean it up in Toronto?
I haven't seen every game at BMO by any means, but I have never noticed the ref rushing the player to kick the ball any faster up there.
I have very mixed feelings about the streamer thing. I love it right now, but I think in the near future it will get old for me and I'll want it to stop so teams can actually play the game.

Claudio served his country well, so I'll be nice. I would like to see the 2nd NY DP used on someone better though.
