Do you know who the smartest man in American soccer is? Go on guess, I've got time.
Times up. It's Revs defender Avery John. Why? Because he's realized that after spending the majority of his soccer career playing in New England (and in Boston with the Bulldogs of the A-League) that the northeast is no place for a Tobagan to live and is taking his tropical self down to Miami FC.
Mind you I'm sure the Revs coaching staff no longer emplying him may have something to do with the descision, but still I'd trade in the chowder for access to a good Cuban sandwich any day.

I don't think that Avery not playing for the Revs anymore is of the Revs doing. From what I remember at last season's end, NE was down to resign him but he went AWOL. I remember reading that the team couldn't find him to talk about a new deal. Whatevs though, I like Albright, Igwe, and Hilgenbrinck all better than Avery. Hilgenbrinck seems to be carrying the Tobogans torch of handing out slide tackles like condoms at a planned parenthood.
