As previously mentioned, DC United have linked up with VW and received a van full of cash and new look on their jersey's. And in the interest of keeping their fans both so fresh & so clean, they are offering the new VWed home or away long sleeve kit for 25% off at the official team store located inside RFK stadium. As those usually run $100, that will save you $25 which is enough to buy a case of beer for your next tailgate. Those are savings you can use folks.
While we are talking DCU, Max Bretos said to be on the lookout for an immenent announcement on a partnetship between Argentine boss players Boca Juniors and an MLS club. With DC United bigwigs Kevin Payne & GM Dave Kasper have just returned all tight-lipped from a trip to Buenos Aires --where they were spotted at the River-Boca superclasico-- I'm going make to place my bets with the all-blacks on this one. Let's see if I'm right.

Something about those kits doesn't look right. I'm not feelin the VW logo.
Really? I'm an NY guy and even I think it's pretty nice.
They just seem really shiny to me.
Why is it that everything DCU does makes me nervous, as if they are the One True Empire and are about to just explode on the rest of us?
(Of course, seeing that overgrown parrot in your pic there helps calm my nerves a little bit)
They do look really shiny. Like they're made of latex.

Yeah, I'm a NY guy too. I think it has something to do with the circular shape of the logo combined with its size--it's almost like a big ass target, which is fine with me.
Just not feelin it, and I've always grudgingly liked United's kits.
Shit! I need to get a blank on pronto.
I got plans for that shit.
