Rapids Drop Enough Players to Start a Boy Band

Boots

I think to day was roster compliance day for MLS clubs. I think but I'm not sure. If it's not then I guess the Rapids were feeling a bit ambitious and started cutting early. Getting the boot were Daniel Antunez, Kevin Forrest, Scott Campbell, Brandon Prideaux, and defender Cliff Wilmesdefender. There were also shockers; midfielder Jose Cancela and defender Chase Hilgenbrinck, who was just brought back to the States from a self-imposed soccer exile in Chile.

My uneducated guess says that Cancela, Hilgenbrinck and maybe -maaaaaybe- Prideaux will latch on with someone in the league. As for the other brothers...I hear the Seattle Sounders might be hiring.

I thought Cancela was dropped a couple weeks ago. Did CO negotiate a new non-guaranteed contract?
