From the self-proclaimed "World's Greatest Newspaper", the Sunday Express comes a rare piece of MLS-related Hollywood tattle:
"Former Everton and Middlesbrough defender Abel Xavier, famous for his crazy hairstyles, is set to light up the silver screen after winning the part of a detective in a movie called Without Fear. "
You want to know why this raises my eye-brows? Neither Jean-Claude Van Damm or Steven Seagal are in this film despite boasting a title that is screaming out to include at least one of them. Also of note is that Xavier is playing a detective; I was convinced that his film debut would be playing a much different role. Something more horror/sci-fi/fantasy....

IMDB says he's playin a hitman... that makes a little more sense.
True, but bear in mind that IMDB is the only thing less reliable than a British tabloid. Or MLS Rumors.
It looks like a B Grade (and that's being nice) action movie. Probably straight to DVD 20K copies. Let's just say he's probably not getting payed big money. Still, good for him though. Gotta start somewhere.
This cannot work in fact, that is what I consider.
