Preston North End Continue to Stalk Twellman.

TT

Someone at MLS HQ might want to get a restraining order against Preston North End. With the transfer window closing quick, the UK club has not given up hope of landing TT. Thier gaffer was qouted in the Lancashire Evening Post sounding all Jesse Jackson, talking keep hope alive and whatnot.

Maybe this is all part of the plan. Maybe the earlier rejections by the league where all part of the plan. It would be a hell of a gamble if they where bluffing for more cash, but one that they come out on top of either way; if PNE calls them on it they retain a marquee player, but if PNE bites they make a hefty transfer fee for a guy who has done his time in the league. It's a win-win, but I'm sure than Taylor might have a differnet opinion.

Interesting thought that MLS is bluffing. But to me what is more likely is that they see the bad press they got for not letting TT head over there and they decide to let him go now. They might get more money and it will look like a bluff, but I would call it more of fool's luck.

if mls was bluffing that really blows for NER. having sold TT earlier in the transfer window, NER would then be able to turn around and look to spend some of that money on international players. if they sell TT at the 11th hour, that doesnt leave NER with many options. for that reason, i doubt mls was bluffing.

The MLS transfer window doesn't close on January 31st. There would be plenty of time for New England to find another player.

Still, I see no real reason why MLS or New England should sell Twellman.

Twellman definitely needs to stay, MLS can't afford to become a feeder league if it hopes to go anywhere.

Preston North End wouldn't know a marquee player if it said it on his forehead and he dick-slapped the CEO/GM.

And Taylor "MallRat" Tweellmen is NOT a marquee player as much as I would like him to be with the Nats.

Of course they would come from overseas. The transfer window only applies to incoming players. Players can be sold at any time.
