This photo was snapped last night at DC's "meet the team' event; it was meant to be for season ticket holders only, but appears to have been infiltrated. C'mon DC fans, even you have to admit it's funny. For you RBNY fans (all 32 of us!) expect more photos from this hilarious security breach in the upcoming ESC zine.

Boswell was wearing that last night. He changed tops at one point.
I assure you that is NOT photoshopped. And yes, when he was sitting down and signing the shirt in the picture he was wearing that white t-shirt that looked like a jewelry store puked on it.
He was a good guy about it and told me that I was going to get my ass kicked for wearing that shirt around RFK.
So far, never happened. Never. And now it never will. It's now a precious commodity and it's value is beyond any currency.
It is now retired and will be framed for whatever bar/pub/venue ESC moves into in the NJ area near our dirtpile that will someday be a stadium.
I would laughing a lot harder if boswell didn't let up the two goals against chicago.

I'm a DC fan and that IS funny. Bobby does have a sense of humour, unlike some of the smug bastards that are my United brethren.

Mr. Boswell was, shall we say, a little less than jazzed about the photo. Normally i would give 2 shits since he posed for the photo, but since his sister-in-law and I go back 15 years he gets a get out of jail free card of sorts.

This is so much funnier after reading boswell's blog. For a "lame stunt," it is pretty classy. Also, you should brush your teeth more often! You don't want your halitosis getting in the way way of fooling more clueless mls players! Oh Bobby.

As previously stated, and not mentioned here. The pic was out a half day before you said anything to me. It was then censored at your request after the fact. It was the equivalent to spitting on the field at Giants Stadium, posting a banner that says "North Jersey, the armpit of America, or "we sing louder then your wife." This third grade level humor with a budget is part of this sport. It's a supporter prank and (albeit, an expensive one) was the reason I was there. Clearly you understood this waiting for a second picture to be taken as the flash recharged with a smile on your face as someone from the front office read out loud what the shirt said.
As you stated to me in the message I received after the fact, you got the humor but someone from Community Relations was pissed about it and that's why you were concerned. It's best not to back peddle after the fact Bobby. It's not you and it's certainly not what those that follow you on the field and off at bobbyboswell.com deserve

Whatever. I have to say though that this kind of thing is great. There needs to be more water-cooler stuff to talk about and stoke rivalries.

I don't think that this is Bobby being in full spin control. This is DC United at it's finest. They are not able to manage this and get a vanillla flavored story so they wrote something up with Bobby's account and had him put that up as a response.
This is total damage control at this point and if it wasn't for how small a hit his payroll is on their salary cap, I think you would seriously be looking at him getting shot of out the market and into another franchise like KC or SJ if this doesn't die or he loses fan favortism for that otehr thing besides his recent shit play (ya know, that blog thing where they made him the voice of the team on internet).
