Video: The Most Neurotic Fan in All of England
This is a slightly dated clip but it is possibly the best footie clip in the Youtube universe. That's a hell of a statement to make - especially since it doesn't even have any game footage in it - but if you watch the whole thing you'll get what I'm getting at.
All of the agony, anxiety & ecstasy of footie fandom is summed up in this 6 mins 19 secs. Watching this West Ham fan ring his hands and swear at the TV you feel like you're witnessing some weird soccer-centered sociological experiment. But then you realize that it is not weird at all because it is you.
If you haven't spent an afternoon in front of the TV looking this crazed you haven't been a fan long enough (or you follow a really good team).

Thanks for the clip. Cheered me up on a bleak afternoon. Don't suppose I should be laughing at it really but the drama and the sheer joy was fantastic.
I never had to experience the tension of relegation before being a Liverpool fan but after moving to Germany last year I managed to take a team down in my first season.
In some ways, fighting relegation is more exciting than winning trophies.
